Challenge: Vail Resorts Management Company was launching their brand new summer operation, Epic Discovery, at their Vail and Heavenly resorts in the summer of 2016. Several new summertime attractions would be opening, some existing activities would have name changes, and summer employees at both resorts would be wearing new uniforms.
All of the new information had to be communicated to front-line employees — from CME van drivers, to hotel front desk workers, to lift operators, to restaurant staff.
Solution: Worked with Vail Resorts’ Sr. Director of Summer Operations to design training materials for front-line employees.
- Took information from multiple sources and distilled it into succinct, easy-to-digest messaging describing all of the changes related to Epic Discovery.
- Employed graphic design best practices, including adherence to Vail Resorts branding.
Deliverables to the client included:
- Basic- and advanced-level employee guides for Vail and Heavenly resorts.
- Pocket fields guides (the size of a smart phone), with versions for Vail and Heavenly.
