Project Description

Challenge: Bradsby Group, a large Denver-area recruiting firm, needed to drive more traffic to its website and generate more awareness of the firm’s exectuive search and recruiting services.

Solution: Lumen Marketing developed a keyword and content marketing strategy targeting two distinct audiences: hiring managers/human resources professionals, and job candidates (mid-level management to executives).

Work was divided into four intertwined categories — website content, blog posts, social media management, and analytics/reporting. Lumen Marketing worked to achieve very positive results across all four categories, including:

  • ~20% increase in website traffic
  • 10X increase in search visibility for target (primary) keywords
  • 9X increase in overall keyword search visibility
  • 21% increase in inbound links
  • 261% increase in returning visitors to the website
  • 291% drop in bounce rate
  • 96% increase in LinkedIn followers (the firm’s key social media channel)

Website:

  • Identified and selected keywords based on estimated monthly search volume and difficulty scores
  • Mapped keywords to website pages and rewrote 25+ pages of copy to align with keyword strategy
  • Performed sitewide on-page optimization for SEO
  • WordPress administration and publishing

Blog posts:

  • Produced four blog posts per month for 2+ years — topic development, copywriting, and editing
  • On-page keyword optimization
  • WordPress administration and publishing

Social media management:

  • Managed social media distribution of blog content and company announcements — LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter
  • Wrote compelling copy and calls to action for posts
  • Designed custom, eye-catching images for each post
  • Utilized UTM codes for tracking website visits by channel and individual post

Analytics/reporting:

  • Provided monthly reporting on SERP results and Google Analytics metrics (users, bounce rates, sessions, page views, channels, etc.)
  • Reported monthly on social media metrics for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Made recommendations for improvement.
